need career advice
hey bhavesh bhaiya
we have talked earlier but need guidance again as everyone around me saying that it's not worth it.
everyone around me is saying that 2 years of drop for 3 year degree is not worth it.
is sscbs/st stephens/sggcc worth or ipmat rohtak/kozikode after full drop then a partial drop?
is there any second dropper who have done it ?
profile is very average 8-8(8-9 for rohtak coz best of 5 is 90.2)
ex ipmat aspirant got a call from rohtak, jipmat 303 ,cuet 691(gat combination) hardly 20-25 days of prep (prepared from a very shitty coaching and it was 1st attempt didn't appear with 12th due to health issues)joined tier 2 college muj(manipal) , finance enthusiast two options are thier for me:-
MUJ(dedicated to couses/certifications/bloomberg) + CFA + internships + CAT/MiM(this is little superficial mim) later vs.
Partial drop(some skill buildin i.e excel financial modelling, data analysis) → better-brand DU college + CFA → stronger finance profile- job(3-4years )then -(execlutive mba) via cat or gmat
1.pros and cons
pros (i will opt for dual degree one is regular manipal and another is open degree so if i get throught i could leave manipal for better college and restart my bachelors in 2027 but that open degree would work as base for cfa so i could attempt level 1 2027 but with a better regular college as cfa starts in 2nd year of any bachelors degree )
2.how should i prepare material and coaching recommend(for applied maths ,gk and english) etc in order to get good output in limited time coz time will be allocated in along building and learning new things i.e excel or python(3hrs) and college classes(3.5hrs) and commute(2hrs)
3.how are peers and real opportunities for growth which is worth switching especially placements etc
- people says and i also some how thinks that if you get a good mba i.e suppose tier 1 blackism , spjain , fms ,xlri, jbims etc + cfa (all level cleared) in bachelors time period(3 years) then i think running for undergraduate prestige or placement may doesn't matter in long run and could work in a good finance firms or elite banks just a little longer route
can you please tell me what things are right or wrong and should i even prepare for cuet / ipmat(only elegibile for rohtak and kozikode )

everything is same...just did it with 12th....still confused if i should go for a drop considering i studied dedicatedly for 2 years but failed to make it up in ipmat indore (had 96 both in 10th and 12th)
Sure 1 drop is very common and since your have a very good profile I think you can easily do it

Drop is worth it if you get a significant upgrade over your current college.
Now, a reality about your case, your acads work against you but they aren't bad enough that they kill your chances.
As for your performance, it was decent given your limited prep but can't really accurately predict for next time.
Now, MUJ isn't a bad college at all, and since you've already enrolled, my recommendation would be to not take a second drop primarily because of the difficulties second droppers face. And you are eligible for only cuet and Rohtak, Kozhikode which honestly isn't a lot of options.
And in 4th point, it's true to some extent that if you get a good mba college, then your ug college won't matter to a certain extent. First decide between drop or no drop
