"Worth" is decided by you. Not us strangers on the internet. If you decide to go to an IIM and be drunk / high all day, not listen to classes, and fail in the exams, then obviously it is not worth it. If you go there, choose not to live up to your potential, and not take the resources seriously, then it is not worth the money you spend.
Do you really think two batchmates going to the same college come out with the same outcomes? Obviously not.
Colleges aren't like a stock where you enter at 100 and sell at 120, i.e 20% gain.
It's like a gym membership. If you're able to use all the resources, make the best connections, show up and grab every opportunity -- then it makes sense.
You decide the worth. If you're confident about doing it and handling the loan, then go forward. If you're not, then don't. I know people from gen-2/3 IIMs who might be more successful than someone from IIM-Indore too. It's more about the individual.
To choose SSCBS or to choose Indore?
Less than 15-20 students get this choice. That is absolutely no wrong option. You can do either. People have gone to ABC after SSCBS. They have also gone to ABC after IIM-I.
It's absolutely pointless to choose between these two when you have zero offer letters at your hand. You will be good at IPMAT if you study for it... and if you prepare for your boards, your CUET score will improve anyways. Most people are able to do both (IPMAT/CUET). If you're not able to manage both the exams, then IIM ABC would be hard to manage. Use this as a litmus test.
If your question stems from a place of “I cannot manage both exams, so I need to choose one and stick to it,” then write some CUET PYPs, show me your marks, and share your category. Write one IIM Indore mock fully. Tell me your Class 12 subjects also + your class 10 board marks.
Based on the PYP scores, we'll see which one you seem to have more aptitude for, as a baseline, and you can choose that.
I am ready to manage both. But still i am mentioning whatever u asked. Am obc. Got VA 2025 indore 62[second attempt after 2026] . I never attempted quant as mock but i can solve many quant que some of them are very easy but the medium ones always took me much time[ 3 to 4 mins] .
Now cuet, one sscbs student shared what shifts he appeared in 2026 and i attempted them got 132 in GAT[0 GK correct] in which he got 170 and got 165 in English in which he got 172. Maths also many questions could be done in 5 to 10s but many are time consuming and my domain CS i got 220 in first go! but ya i know if i improve my vocab and grammar i can jump gradually in both the exams .
and boards.. 95 in class 10 and 12th i have pcm cs
You've not shared your PYP/Mock scores of IPMAT, hence, I can't help you compare. Just one section doesn't help.
I guess you might have already gone through the PYQs, so write the free mock and share your scores.
You have 132 in GAT, 165 in English, 220 in CS. I don't know your CUET Math scores.
As NC-OBC, it does become easier given that cutoff was 620.5 (SSCBS BBA).
If your mock score is less than 125 in IPMAT, I would recommend focusing solely on CUET. That said, given the NC-OBC backdrop, I feel you can do both. So, go forward with that and all the best.
Now, reallocate your energy into maximising your marks in both these exams and I hope to see you as someone who gets accepted into both the colleges!
Hello Bhavesh bhaiya currently i am in sscbs pursuing bsc Hons computer science i am not eligible for ipmat
As i am not eligible in age quotient
So should I take a partial drop for sscbs bba fia or bms and srcc
Because I am not liking my course
Coming from commerce+ applied mathematics background
I am good in academics I was my school topper with 94%
I did have a talk with many seniors of sscbs
They are consulting that take only drop if you are not liking course because drop year affects your cv and pursue mba afterwards
So should I take partial drop
Or do iim bangalore bba dbe through cuet gat
I am so much confused
Because I know i have potential but looks like i am stuck
Partial drop makes the most sense. No need to drop it fully if there's nothing in your hands at the moment. Even if you choose BBA-DBE, what will you be doing along with it? No point in doing BSc CS if you're not interested in (or feel the passion towards it).
Yeah I will not drop fully i am in my first year but should I give more preference to cuet or semester paper
As you can't guarantee success in cuet
And seniors are suggesting to maintain good cgpa
