I received an offer letter from IIM Rohtak for their IPM programme. I also had a decent interview at Ranchi and might actually have a shot at their IPM too.
Additionally I had a decent CUET score (877/1000 for ba, 842/1000 for bba). Based on past cutoffs(850 last year), I am expecting a seat in Miranda House' eco hons. Right now I am considering the DU programme over IPM, but I feel I might regret such a decision.

Before I knew about IPMAT, my plan was eco hons ba>eco ma>civil services. I now appreciate having all paths open.
I'll add that I have a 95+ in both class 10 and 12.
Is the cost justified? Is the IIM advantage large enough? Please help me with this.

See if you are really drawn towards civil services and policy making go for eco hons.

Ofc but if you are confident of cracking cat later on, I would say go for the econ degree
Btw does rohtak/ranchi have econ in their curriculum? I believe they do. So that way you can still study eco if the end goal is not strictly some speciallized degree but a corporate world

Btw do you think, just in general, that the NC is worth giving up the IIM tag for? I think this is the one thing which is holding me back
I think if it was srcc or hindu/hansraj/Stephen this would have still been a debatable topic but IIM tag is definitely something
While the other way to look at it would be that, rohtak and ranchi are still not the top IIMs so maybe you can still think of pursuing cat later for a better IIM in that case go for DU
The more I hear from people about it, the more divided the verdict come out to be. Man are we really supposed to make such choices at 17😭

but eco hons doesn't specifically means civil services right? corporate is right there too also ive seen many econ majors making to to mbb?
True, economics hons seems wider in scope to me right now, whereas IPM seems a bit restrictive.
Though had I received an offer letter from Indore, I'd have accepted without a second thought 😺

But my parents want to put it below north campus top unis. Their mindset is probs bba from IIM or no bba at all. I also see some disdain towards 9-5s from them, or maybe it's just me? So like, if it's not iom they'd rather that I continue on the civil services route with eco
I actually like the finance part with their bba, but again it'll have a limited higher studies aspect to it. Not sure if it's worth arguing with them about
You are more inclined towards economics but I definitely believe sscbs is way better than any North campus du college
