Here is how you can solve it:

tysm so much for taking your time to explain this but i do not understand this line specifically," V has an exam on one of the days before T".
Okay so the ques states that Vand T have 4 people in between them , after one of Vand T there are 4 people and then the remaining one of V and T has his exam.
Now in this type of arrangement it is possible that the exam of T is earlier then there is the exam of V but this is not possible , because V has exam before T.
Bottom line short : V must have exam before T
