Solution

✅ Correct Option: 3

Compute interest on each component for the period it stayed in the business.

Opening capital: 2,00,000×8%×1212=16,0002,00,000 \times 8\% \times \frac{12}{12} = 16,000.

Addition on 1 July: 50,000×8%×912=3,00050,000 \times 8\% \times \frac{9}{12} = 3,000.

Withdrawal on 1 October: 30,000×8%×612=1,20030,000 \times 8\% \times \frac{6}{12} = 1,200, which must be deducted.

Total =16,000+3,000−1,200=17,800= 16,000 + 3,000 - 1,200 = 17,800.
