Anjana, Bandana and Chandana are partners in a firm. They share profit and loss of the firm equally. Bandana died and his share is acquired by Anjana and Chandana in the ratio of 1:1. New profit sharing ratio between Anjana and Chandana would be :-

Solution

✅ Correct Option: 1

Bandana's share =13= \frac{1}{3}, acquired equally, so each gains 16\frac{1}{6}.

Anjana =13+16=12= \frac{1}{3} + \frac{1}{6} = \frac{1}{2}

Chandana =13+16=12= \frac{1}{3} + \frac{1}{6} = \frac{1}{2}

New ratio =1:1= 1 : 1. When equal partners take over a share equally, the ratio stays equal.
