The question given below has a problem and two statements numbered I and II giving certain information. You have to decide if the information given in the statements is sufficient for answering the problem.
Who is C's partner in a game of cards involving four players A, B, C, and D?
Statement I: D is sitting opposite to A.
Statement II: B is sitting right of A and left of D.
Solution
From statements I, we can see that A is opposite to D and so, B is opposite to C. Therefore, B is the partner of C.
From statement II, B is sitting to the right of A and left of D. This means that B is opposite to C and hence, partner of C.
Statement I or II alone is sufficient to answer the question.
