Read the passage given below to answer question number 1 to 6

From the time we are born, we find ourselves floating in a sea of language. If we could look back and remember the first few moments of our lives, we would possibly recall a member of unknown sounds spoken by our near and dear ones. These sounds slowly and miraculously begin to take on both shape and meaning. Over a passage of time, we learn to associate the word 'clock' with the object that hangs on the wall and has two, possibly three hands, while 'cloud' comes to stand for that white ball of cotton up in the sky. This process of acquiring language is so natural and organic that we hardly notice when it happens. In fact, by the time we are adults, we find it difficult to imagine a world without language. We have become so used to seeing the world through the veil of our mother tongue, that the world as an 'undivided canvas' that is the world experienced by an infant - has been wiped out from our memory. In acquiring language, we gain the convenience of a shared and common vocabulary. However, we lose the holistic view of the world which is an important aspect of infancy.
