Kapil, Rahul and Virat are partners in a firm sharing profits in the ratio of 3:2:1. They decide to share future profits equally w.e.f April 1, 2025. Calculate the gaining/sacrificing share of partners.

Solution

✅ Correct Option: 2

Old shares are 36,26,16\frac{3}{6},\frac{2}{6},\frac{1}{6} and new shares are 13=26\frac{1}{3}=\frac{2}{6} each.

Kapil: 36−26=16\frac{3}{6}-\frac{2}{6}=\frac{1}{6} sacrifice. Rahul: no change. Virat: 26−16=16\frac{2}{6}-\frac{1}{6}=\frac{1}{6} gain.

So Virat gains 16\frac{1}{6} and Kapil sacrifices 16\frac{1}{6}.
