Anu and Shipra are partners in a firm sharing profits in the ratio of 3:2. They admit Kriti as a new partner. Anu sacrificed 1/4 of her share and Shipra 1/3 of her share in favour of Kriti. Calculate the new profit sharing ratio of Anu, Shipra and Kriti.

Solution

✅ Correct Option: 2

Anu sacrifices 14×35=320\frac{1}{4} \times \frac{3}{5} = \frac{3}{20}, leaving 35−320=920=2760\frac{3}{5} - \frac{3}{20} = \frac{9}{20} = \frac{27}{60}.

Shipra sacrifices 13×25=215\frac{1}{3} \times \frac{2}{5} = \frac{2}{15}, leaving 415=1660\frac{4}{15} = \frac{16}{60}.

Kriti gets 320+215=1760\frac{3}{20} + \frac{2}{15} = \frac{17}{60}.

Ratio =27:16:17= 27:16:17.
