This weeks DILR set took me 19 minutes, but got all correct thankfully. I knew off the bat that a similar set in a sectional/mock or actual exam I wouldn't be attempting, however My DILR times have always been near median or around 9-10 mins.
Seeing that theyre worth 20 marks spending upto ten minutes on the set seems worth it. Regardless, spending 25% of my time in dilr puts a lot of time pressure for the other mcq questions, and I often miss out on easy ones due to this pressure. I need to refine my ABC method for this, which will come with time and intuition.
My DILR is weak (I feel) and i often skip the set in mocks, but they are essentially free 20 marks if one masters them. Again, this will improve with time, but how much time should a DILR set take?

I used to consider 5mins a very healthy time, at max 9mins (given I actually can solve it). My aim was to ascertain in the first 2mins agar ye ho payega merese, if I see my pen moving after the 2nd minute and possibly leading to sth, i used to continue. if not, I would skip it.
What if I recognise a solveable set, but it still ends up taking upto 10-15 mins?
Not worth it, u could have solved 3-4 qs during that time, but if u have taken 8mins and solved 2qs then I would suggest completing it, cuz the high fixed costs of understanding the set is already paid for
