how to tackle these types of questions (sequence and series)
I did the theory of ap gp and even practiced a few questions (jee level) but i feel every question in ipmat has a long method (or ig i have learned it without shortcuts) i also solved 2025 pyq all felt like each of them wouldrake like 10 mins to solve like so many cases and caluations
if anyone has have any shortcuts and good notes for revision overall can youll send me

tho if you want a sol here you go
Let first term = a, common ratio = r
p-th term: a r^(p−1) = q
q-th term: a r^(q−1) = p
Divide:
r^(p−q) = q/p
Take logs:
(p−q) log r = log(q/p)
Now from first equation:
log a + (p−1) log r = log q
Substitute log r:
log a = log q − (p−1) * [log(q/p)/(p−q)]
Simplifying gives:
log a = [(1−q) log p − (1−p) log q] / (p−q)
